YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

Located at the eastern end of the Yosemite Valley, Half Dome is the most dominant feature of most Valley views.  Its distinctive smooth sides & singular vertical face are a result of glacial action that exploited a crack in the granite.  Over 87 million years old, this distinctive 8842-foot-tall formation is one of the most iconic hikes in Yosemite.
